Children's Centre Case Study Videos


Case studies and best practice are key to developing sustainable Sure Start Children's Centres into the future.  These video clips give a flavour of the potential range of partnerships and services which can be used in successful Sure Start Children's Centres delivery across England.

A good example of how LAs can promote their centres, Knowsley's 15 Sure Start Children's Centres have much to offer children under 5 and their families. This video features some of the activities, children and comments from parents at Hilltop Children's Centre featuring facilities such as:

  • mini movers - health and devlopment
  • sensory room
  • baby massage
  • local library's story and rhyme time
  • training courses
  •  
    The centre also has strong parental participation and engagement and with the local community. It also offers practical help on day to day issues and provides access to outreach, partnership and universal services.
