Sure Start Children’s Centres Governance Guidance – Quick Reference Guide to putting Guidance into Practice.

Exemplification of Models

Welcome to the Together for Children quick reference guide, which is designed to support you to develop appropriate governance arrangements for your children’s centres.

This reference guide is intended to provide you with a practical interpretation of the recently published DCSF (formerly DfES) Governance Guidance for Children's Centres and Extended Schools.

The CD includes a short selection of the principles of governance including several key questions, practical examples of the varying models referred to in the DCSF guidance, and also features a case study of emerging and promising practice.

You can save the files to your computer, and with the exception of the case study, you will be able to edit all of the practical examples to suit your own circumstances.

TfC acknowledge with grateful thanks the local authorities who supplied examples for the models exemplified.
