1. TfC Children's Centre Plan on a Page: this is designed to be something that LA's and CC teams can use to produce a really high level, visual plan of the key milestones or major activities that they need to undertake between now and the end of March 2008 in order to achieve the designation of an individual Children's Centre. It is split into the same four workstreams as the tracker tool: people, services, planning and funding and building - so that it is compatible with the tracker and other project planning tools that we use.
   
   We are making this available on the website at the request of a number of LA's so that all CC delivery teams can make use of this tool, as it has proved really useful in those LA's we've taken it out to so far.

2. TfC Local Authority Children's Centre Programme Plan on a Page: this tool allows you to plot the key activities that remain outstanding for each of the Children's Centres in your programme. It allows you to produce an "at a glance" plan to get all of your centres to designation, and is based on the Children's Centre Plan on a Page tool.

   This link Blank LA Template (84 Kb) will take you to a blank template which you can use to plan your LA's Children's Centre programme.



3. Detailed Project Plan Template (excel spreadsheet) this is designed to be a more thorough project planning tool, which allows a LA or CC delivery team to plan their work to a greater degree of detail. Again, this tool is organised in the same way as the Children's Centre Tracker into the four stages (Define, Designate, Develop and Improve), and also into the four workstreams (people, services, planning and funding and building). This tool has a front page which gives guidance on how it might be used within a CC delivery team.
