Support for local authorities, their stakeholder partners and individual children’s centre teams to consider effective approaches to aligning the Sure Start Children’s Centre and extended services core offers. This also signposts a range of useful TDA / NCLSCS tools and techniques aimed at supporting planning and performance.

A revised list of numbers of Phase 3 children’s centres, an updated Sure Start Children’s Centre Performance Management Framework and Self Evaluation Form (SEF) are attached. The attached covering letter from Sheila Scales, Director of the Early Years, Extended Schools and Special Needs Group, to Directors of Children’s Services and Chief Executives explains why the changes have been made, and the attached covering note for the SEF provides more detail on the changes to the performance management framework and SEF.
